Error Code: P1 - Evaporator Temperature Protection

The error code P1 is signifying the unit is getting too hot

You can check the indoor unit filters are clean and have a strong air flow - weak air flows means the components can overheat.

Check the indoor unit air intake vents are not blocked and check the indoor fan motor, to see if it is not damaged. You can do this by spinning the fan motor, if the fan motor spins freely with no resistance and no noise that means it is fine and not damaged. Otherwise, if there's a grinding noise or the fan doesn't spin freely, the fan motor is damaged and you will need to get a new one.
