Error Code: E4/E5 - Internal Temperature Sensor Fault

The error code 'E4' signifies a problem with the internal ambient air sensor. Whilst the error code 'E5' signifies a problem with the internal coil sensor

To fix the problem, first you'll need to check if everything in the unit is okay. You'll need to check the sensors and to access these sensors the internal unit front case needs to be removed. Then you'll need to do the following: 

  • Clean both filters as weak air flow can cause an incorrect reading
  • Check the sensor plug to see if it is firmly connected to the indoor PCB 
  • Check for any breaks in the sensor wire
  • Check the ambient sensor has strong air flow (the sensor must be placed in front of the coils)
  • Check the coil sensor socket is clean. This socket is exposed to condensate water so the socket can corrode over time. If it has corrosion on it then use a small abrasive brush to clean the socket. 

Once you've checked everything mentioned above and either error code is still showing then you'll need to replace both sensors. To get either sensors, you'll need to contact us at info@airconditioningcentre.com or call us at 0370 3344 556. 

ANY WIRING OR CLEANING OF CONNECTIONS REQUIRE THE POWER TO BE ISOLATED BEFORE WORKS COMMENCE.
